TiO2 Titanium White Exterior Trim Boards

Finally, a real wood trim board on the cutting edge of technology.

Facts
Where does the substrate come from?
• Sourced from 100% clear Chilean Radiata Pine mills
• Certified mills that adhere to rigid Boston Cedar standards
• Consistent source of supply stocked in our warehouses

What are the advantages to this Substrate?
• All 100% defect-free Chilean Radiata Pine kiln dried to 10 to 12% moisture content
• Clear finger-jointed and edge-glued Radiata Pine for dimensional stability
• Isocyanine adhesive hardener provides superior finger-joined bonding characteristics
• All 16’ lengths…no trim-backs
• Available in 1" x 3" through 1"x 12", 5/4" x 4" through 5/4" x 12" and 1"x6" edge and centerbead

What is TiO2 coated with?
• Advanced Exterior Polymer is the topcoat that is applied over the alkyd oil primer sealer.
• AXP is a true topcoat that, while recommended, does not require a field coat for one year from
installation.
• AXP is one of the most durable exterior coatings designed for wood substrate available
• Environmentally friendly zero volatile organic compound coatings

Why is an oil primer and latex top coat system better than two coats of latex or two coats of oil?
• Water never touches the raw wood - no grain raising or grain swelling, better long-term adhesion
• AXP provides genuine long-term protection for the substrate - oil primers do not
• Topcoat within one year of installation with a high-quality 100% acrylic top coat

What are the packaging specifications?
• 750 board foot units…. smaller than competitors 1,000 bd.ft. units
• All boards are individually end-tagged
• Ti02 is carefully packaged and protected in a custom fitted lumber bag.

Why is TiO2 better than other trim products?
• Water never touches the wood - oil primer to seal - AXP topcoat to protect
• Longer lasting - true exterior topcoat versus multiple coats of primer

Recommended Installation
• Keep TiO2 completely dry prior to installation
• Any installation practice (nailing, cutting, etc.) which results in breaking of the factory coating requires
that the exposed areas be immediately resealed with a high quality alkyd oil primer.
• Product must be fastened using an appropriate corrosive resistant fastener such as stainless steel
siding nails that are driven flush to the substrate surface. Avoid sinking the fastener head beyond the
substrate flush surface.
• When using pneumatic fasteners, please set pressure to make certain fastener is flush to the
surface.
Immediately coat fastener heads with a high quality alkyd oil primer.
• All avenues for water intrusion should be immediately caulked with a high performance acrylic exterior
caulk. Only install over clean, dry framing or sheathing.
• Apply one coat of 100% Acrylic topcoat within one year of installation
(dark colors may require more than one coat)
