Wikipedia Element
Clapboard, also known as bevel siding or lap siding or weather-board (with regional variants as to the exact definitions of these terms), is a board used typically for exterior horizontal siding that has one edge thicker than the other and where the board above laps over the one below. It is often found in New England architecture.

In newer construction, clapboard is often imitated as "siding" made of vinyl, aluminum, or fiber cement.

Bevel In A Box

Bevel in a Box Cuts Installation Time and Costs

Factory primed Bevel in a Box saves a time consuming and costly coating step on the jobsite. It's no longer necessary to wait for a break in the weather to prime and topcoat real Western Red Cedar Siding.

Engineered Clear Vertical Grain Western Red Cedar

Bevel in a Box is engineered from Clear Vertical Grain Western Red Cedar produced by one of the finest mills in the world; Terminal Forest Products. CVG solid WRC segments are assembled through a high-tech process to create virtually invisible, precision fitted "finger" joints that are actually stronger and more weather resistant than the surrounding wood. Bevel in a Box is always 100% 1/2"x6"x16’ lengths packaged in a heavy duty box to ensure that the siding remains protected on the jobsite.

Primed to Perfection

Under controlled conditions, the optimum thickness of primer is applied to all six sides of the cedar siding. This is rarely achieved when boards are coated on the job site. Pressure rollers and high speed brushes drive the coating deep into the wood fibers. Afterwards, the Bevel in a Box is dried in a temperature controlled drying room to ensure complete curing of the prime coat. Terminal Forest Products technology is your assurance of long lasting performance and versatility as the primed siding can be installed with the smooth or rough face exposed. It could be the last siding your home will ever need.

Field Applied Topcoats

Bevel in a Box cuts your installed siding costs to a minimum. Bevel in a Box's alkyd oil primer is compatible with oil or latex based topcoats (many of which offer multi-year warranties). For optimum performance apply two coats of a top quality 100% acrylic topcoat as soon as possible but within one year from the date of installation. Always prime end and rip cuts during the installation process.

Guaranteed to Last!

Bevel in a Box is warranted to the original purchaser/building owner against extractive bleeding for 1 year from the date of purchase. Additionally, if either the substrate or the factory coating system is determined to be defective within the warranty period, the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge. Repairing or replacing defective product is the exclusive remedy for any substrate or coating failure. Failure to follow proper handling, installation and coating instructions as well as accepted industry standards could void this warranty. Simply maintain proof of purchase…that simple! No warranty cards or forms to complete. Please refer to printed warranty for specific details.
